Bud is originaly from Pittsburgh, PA, and spent some time in Connecticut growing up. For about the last 15 years, he has been living in Florida. Bud and his wife Melissa have 2 boys, Maverick (7) and Cole (2), and a dog Junior - a red nosed pitbull. Bud says he's just one of the kids too.
Bud has many hobbies, racing is his favorite one. Before sim racing, he used to race at the local track (SunShine Speedway), a small half mile dirt track. He ran street stock cars, winning 2 races, and having a lot of fun there. He also ran a Mustang drag car back then on the 1/8 mile dragstrip. But that was long ago, and the track is all closed up now.
Bud also likes to go fishing with his boys. Down in Florida you never know what your gonna catch. He also likes to go off-roading with the 4x4 through the mud, and work on cars. Bud fixes all his own cars.
He can't race the real cars anymore, so when he found out about sim-racing it was like a dream come true. "You get to race the same tracks and cars as the real thing," Bud was quoted as saying. Bud has been sim-racing nonstop since the summer of 1999. "I was hooked the first time I got behind the wheel," Bud said.
Bud has raced in many series over the years, but a few special moments include: Winning his first trophy - for winning the Live Racing.com series Championship - "I got a big ol trophy from that series," the first t-shirt he won, for winning in the E-Sports racing league, and all the plaques he won in the other SMPM series'. Bud says he likes the superspeedways the best, probably because he considers Daytona his home track. Bud has been to 3 Daytona 500's. "WOW ! Everyone needs to go at least once, there's nothing like it. I guess you could say I got NASCAR fever and it aint never gonna get better. I have been a NASCAR fan forever!"
