Rob formed James Gang Racing, and started sim-racing in August of 1995. Rob has been the one constant driver for JGR in its 12 year history. Though James Gang Racing has went through several name changes as Rob's personal and racing career have evolved, they have stayed based in Wichita/Sedgwick County, Kansas, and continue to be transported from race-to-race by the SCKL Railroad.
In 2007, Rob begins transitioning into more of a car-owner/team-management position, as opposed to owner/driver. Rob expects that it may reduce his personal racing schedule, but he is still slated for close to 200 races in 2007.
Rob will pilot a Dallara/Honda in the ISRS Open Wheel Racing League, and run full-time in AKM/sim500's Nocturnal Adrenaline and Midnight Thunder series as JGR becomes primarily a Toyota-based racing team in 2007. JGR has also planned a Superspeedway program for Rob in the ISRS, SOAR-Racing, and in sim500's Feature Cup Series. Otherwise, Rob should run some one-off or special event races in James Gang Racing prepared cars Besides running and racing for James Gang Racing, Rob has committed to running the full NASS Thunder and Truck Series' for Outlaw Motorsports, , including some SOAR-Racing events in cooperation with Ratt Pack Racing from Connecticut.
Rob lives in Wichita, Kansas, he and his wife Angie have two daughters, Ashley (9) and Kaitlyn (5), and a son, Robert Cole (3).
